Qualifications

• Background or experience in mathematics, science, or education preferred.
• Maine Department of Education Interventionist certification preferred.
• Experience working with high school students.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide explicit, targeted instruction in mathematics and science to students requiring additional academic support.
• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs and identified skill gaps.
• Work closely with classroom teachers to reinforce current curriculum and support classroom assignments.
• Provide a structured learning environment for students who need additional instructional time outside of the traditional classroom setting.
• Maintain records of student participation, intervention strategies, and progress.
• Communicate regularly with teachers and staff regarding student progress and concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify students needing support and develop intervention strategies.
