Job summary

Excel Academy Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated high school math teacher to join our urban public/s charter school network in New England. You will co-teach and deliver rigorous math instruction to multiple sections, while collaborating with a department to refine the curriculum and assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of two years’ teaching experience in an urban public or charter school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach or co-teach math to several sections of high school students.
• Collaborate with department to develop/refine Excel’s math curriculum.
• Design and implement rigorous assessments to evaluate mastery of standards.
• Hold students accountable for high behavioral expectations and apply behavior management system.
• Provide coverage as needed during non-instructional time.
• Be a productive member of the Excel Academy community.
• Do whatever it takes to uphold the school’s mission.
