Excel Academy Charter Schools in Massachusetts is seeking a high school math teacher to join our diverse urban network. You will teach multiple sections, collaborate with colleagues to refine the math curriculum, and design assessments that measure student mastery of standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years teaching experience in an urban public or charter school setting preferred.
• Commitment to the mission of Excel Academy Charter Schools and its educational model.
• Commitment to addressing racial and economic inequity in education.

Responsibilities

• Teach or co-teach high school math to several sections of students.
• Collaborate with department members to develop and refine Excel’s math curriculum.
• Design and implement rigorous assessments that evaluate student mastery of academic standards.
• Hold students accountable for high behavioral expectations and implement Excel’s behavior management system.
• Provide coverage as needed during non-instructional time.
• Serve as a productive member of the Excel Academy community.
• Do whatever it takes to ensure the mission of the school is upheld.
