Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking coaching staff to help athletes perform at their best individually and as a team across multiple sports. Coaches will teach fundamentals, develop skills, and emphasize safety.

Responsibilities include supporting student participation, coordinating recruitment, and upholding the district's equity and inclusion values. A Colorado address and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain before coaching.
• CHSAA coaching registration completed.
• Teacher Certification preferred.
• Previous coaching experience or experience with urban youth preferred.
• Commitment to racial and educational equity and supporting all students.
• Must live and work with a permanent Colorado address.
• Ability to meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Teach fundamental and advanced athletic skills to athletes.
• Knowledgeable about sports equipment, physical fitness, and safety.
• Become an expert on the rules, strategies, and techniques required for the sport.
• Support the coordination and recruitment of student participants.
