Job summary

The Walla Walla Public Schools are seeking a Civil Rights Compliance Coordinator to oversee district-wide civil rights compliance and coordinate related programs. Strong emphasis on clear communication and collaboration with schools, families, and community partners.

Candidates should have teaching certification or equivalent and demonstrate integrity, leadership, and the ability to implement policies, training, and investigations in accordance with district and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Teaching certificate and experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful experience in teaching technical skills specific to this coaching position.

Responsibilities

• Implement teaching and coaching philosophies consistent with the Walla Walla School District and WIAA mission statements.
• Instruct participants in individual, group and team techniques, tactics and physical training necessary for the realization of success.
• Communicate a clearly defined philosophy which emphasizes ethical competition, sportsmanship, leadership, and citizenship with students, parents, staff, and community members.
• Utilize effective coaching techniques for skill development, strategy, and interpersonal team relations.
• Develop and promote high level performance expectations for all athletes and coaches.
• Support and help implement the established off-season strength, conditioning and skills development program.
