Job summary

Walla Walla Public Schools is seeking a Civil Rights Compliance Coordinator on an on-call/substitute basis to support district programs and ensure compliance with civil rights laws and district policies. Reports to the Building Administrator and works with staff, students, and families to promote equity.

The position requires a valid Washington State Teaching Certificate and experience working with children, with strong skills in classroom management, confidentiality, and bilingual communication

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage classroom and provide instruction according to lesson plans as prepared by the classroom teacher.
  • Provide classroom environment which promotes active learning.
  • Assist the teacher with all aspects of the daily routine and attendance.
  • Work with students to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Adhere to district policies and procedures.
  • Use appropriate judgment to act in the best interest of students.
