Job summary

Pan Atlantic Foundation is seeking an International Area Representative for its High School Exchange Program. This entry-level, part-time, 1099 role involves recruiting host families, guiding them through applications, and providing ongoing support throughout the student’s stay.

You will build relationships with local schools, engage with the community, and coordinate check-ins and reporting. Remote work options and flexible scheduling are available to accommodate responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build trust with families, schools, and students from diverse backgrounds.
• Comfortable conducting in-home visits and interviews.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable transportation for local travel to schools and host family homes.
• Basic computer literacy for online documentation and applications.
• Familiar with online application systems and digital documentation tools.
• Experience with Zoom or video conferencing tools is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit prospective host families within the assigned area.
• Build and maintain relationships with local schools to raise awareness of exchange opportunities.
• Promote exchange programs through community outreach and engagement activities.
• Guide host families through online application process on the organization's website.
• Conduct in-home interviews and verify references for suitability.
• Facilitate host family orientations prior to student arrival and provide guidance.
• Perform monthly check-ins with host families and students via calls or visits.
• Document interactions, check-ins, and progress in the online system.
