Spring Independent School District Bailey MS in Spring, Texas is seeking an ESL Aide (High School) to assist in supervising and instructing ESL students. The role supports teachers, maintains records, and provides linguistic help across content areas.

Starting date is immediate, with 187 work days per year and nonexempt wage status. Applicants should have 48 college hours and pass the NCLB tests; a higher degree and classroom experience are preferred.

Formación

• Requires 48 hours of college coursework from an accredited college or university.
• Must pass Spring Independent School District’s NCLB test in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

Responsabilidades

• Assist teacher in the instructional setting.
• Confer with teachers, parents and/or appropriate personnel for evaluating student progress.
• Perform record keeping and clerical functions to support teachers and student files.
• Monitor individual students in classroom.
• Provide linguistic support to students in content area classes.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
