The role requires 48 college hours or an Associate’s degree, NCLB testing, and a focus on clerical tasks and student supervision. The work year includes 187 days with daily duties helping students progress in language and content areas.

Qualifications

• 48 hours of college coursework from an accredited college or university.
• Pass Spring ISD’s NCLB test in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
• Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• One+ years experience working with children.

Responsabilités

• Assist teacher in the instructional setting
• Confer with teachers, parents and/or appropriate personnel for evaluating students’ progress
• Perform record keeping and basic clerical functions for supporting teachers
• Monitor individual students in classroom
• Provide linguistic support to students in content area classes
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned
