Job summary

Ector County Independent School District is seeking an Aide - Bilingual to support teachers in delivering bilingual instruction in English and Spanish. This non-exempt role reports to the principal and covers 187 student days with ongoing collaboration among campus staff.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or 48 semester hours (or equivalent assessment), a high school diploma, and strong communication with parents. Prior experience working with students is preferred.

Qualifications

• Meet No Child Left Behind requirements: Associate's Degree, 48 semester hours, or Academic Assessment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Experience working with students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with instruction in both languages; support individual and small group instruction.
• Assist in planning and preparing instructional activities and materials.
• Collaborate with campus staff to develop, implement, and assess programs.
• Participate in in-service sessions as needed.
• Assist with administration, scoring, and documentation of assessments as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain room and material organization; perform other duties as assigned.
