Job summary

Valor Collegiate Academies in Nashville, TN seeks a full-time, in-person Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on EL-focused planning and co-teaching for grades 9-12, leveraging EL frameworks to make content accessible for multilingual learners.

You will collaborate with EL and Special Education staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and growth, track progress, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Must hold active Tennessee teaching license with endorsement in ESL PreK-12.
• Experience collaborating with EL and Special Education to support multilingual learners.
• Ability to collect, track, and analyze student data to inform instruction and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily lessons and EL-aligned activities for grades 9-12.
• Co-teach with EL and Special Education teachers to support grade-level learning.
• Communicate academic progress with families and guardians.
• Maintain scholar gradebooks and update data in a timely manner.
• Participate in weekly coaching and professional development sessions.
• Lead and participate in school events outside normal hours.
