Job summary

Lyndon Institute in Lyndon Center, VT, seeks an Early Childhood Education Instructor to lead a two-year program that prepares high school students for careers in early childhood education through college coursework, credentials, supervised field experience, and a professional portfolio.

The educator will guide professional growth, connect students to work-based learning opportunities, and align coursework with state standards, helping students transition to credentials and careers in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or closely related field.
• Experience in early childhood or elementary education preferred.
• Licensed or able to meet VT licensure requirements for ECE (Lyndon Institute will support licensing).

Responsibilities

• Teach and lead a two-year ECE program aligned with Vermont CTE and ELP standards.
• Teach CCV dual enrollment courses: Introduction to Early Childhood Education and Communication in the ECE/AF Workplace.
• Coordinate practicum experiences, field experiences, and credentialing requirements (OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, VT Orientation Training, etc.).
• Foster professional growth, partnerships with community organizations, and student portfolio development.
