Central High School in Chattanooga seeks qualified coaches for non-faculty and classified coaching roles dedicated to safety, development, and competitive excellence. Coaches must complete NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and First Aid, Health & Safety courses, and annually renew concussion and cardiac arrest certifications.

Adherence to TSSAA/TMSAA health and safety policies is required, with ongoing compliance and record-keeping.

Qualifications

State Law training related to health and safety.
Concussion certificate to be kept on file annually.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate to be kept on file annually.
TSSAA/TMSAA health and safety policies.
Fundamentals of Coaching (NFHS) course when applicable.
First Aid, Health & Safety for Coaches (NFHS) course when applicable.
NFHS Heat Illness Prevention course (annual).
NFHS COVID-19 course for coaches and administrators.

Responsibilities

School Level AD should keep concussion Certificate- Copy on file every year.
School Level AD should keep Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate- Copy on file every year.
