Job description

Job Title: Digital Learning Teacher

The Digital Learning Teacher is a high school teaching position in Digital Learning, providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in marketing and entrepreneurship.

This role involves delivering industry-based instruction that develops student competencies for postsecondary education and employment. Students will explore fundamental business principles, including business law, marketing & finance, cost-benefit analysis, supply and demand, entrepreneurship, and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide instruction for Marketing and Entrepreneurship courses.
2. Teach fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including concept generation, business planning, goal setting, initial investment partnerships, networking, and start-up logistics.
3. Collaborate with other staff members.
4. Communicate with guidance counselors, parents, and administrators as needed.
5. Assess and report student performance.
6. Recommend program improvements, scheduling, and facility needs.

Qualifications:

• Massachusetts certification in Instructional Technology Specialist, K-12, or Teacher of Business, 5-12, Initial (preferred).
• Previous secondary teaching experience (preferred).
• Ability to utilize Socratic teaching methods and incorporate thinking skills.
• Strong class management skills.
• Experience working in a culturally diverse environment or willingness to develop these skills.
