KIPP Columbus is seeking a dedicated Behavior Assistant to support students with behavioral needs. The role requires at least 1 year in a school setting and training in behavior management.

You will work under behavior specialists to implement BIPs and IEP goals, promoting a safe and productive classroom environment. Responsibilities include data collection, collaboration with teachers and counselors, and ongoing participation in trainings.

Competenze

• Minimum 1 year experience as a school-based Behavior Assistant.
• Minimum 10 hours training in behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Active Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with children or adolescents in educational or behavioral settings.

Mansioni

• Assist students in following behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and IEP goals.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with challenging behaviors.
• Use reinforcement strategies, de-escalation techniques, and positive behavior supports.
• Monitor and collect data on student behavior and intervention effectiveness.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to address student needs.
