Job summary

San Angelo ISD Central High School in San Angelo, Texas is seeking an At-Risk Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. This exempt position reports to the Principal and works to identify at-risk students, coordinate interventions, and remove barriers to attendance and success.

The role focuses on providing instructional support, data interpretation, and collaboration with parents, staff, and community resources to help students achieve their academic and personal goals in a supportive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
  • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate, preferred.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
  • Ability to interpret data.
  • Familiarity with issues related to students at-risk of dropping out of school.

Responsibilities

  • Identify at-risk students and begin intervention plans, collaborating with parents.
  • Monitor attendance and coordinate credit recovery programs as assigned.
  • Assist in developing graduation plans for at‑risk students as needed.
  • Provide motivational support and coordinate a mentor program for student goals.
  • Assist in developing parent involvement activities and link families to community services.
  • Conduct classroom visits to address attendance, behavior, and academics.
  • Serve as campus contact for state compensatory education as designated by the principal.
