Cobb County School District is seeking an Assistant Principal at a high school to support the principal in daily operations, discipline, and curriculum implementation. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to guide staff and students toward school goals.

The incumbent will supervise staff, assist with curriculum development, and help manage extracurricular activities, facilities, and safety programs in a large, dynamic school system.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree required; Tier I Educational Leadership preferred.
• Valid Georgia Educational Leadership Certificate at level 5 preferred; Master’s Degree with GACE Ethics for Educational Leadership accepted.
• Minimum of three years of successful educational experience.
• Strong written and oral communication, leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills; computer competence; instructional strategies linking curriculum to learners.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Assists the principal in enforcing policies concerning student discipline and attendance.
• Keeps the principal apprised of school operations and developments.
• Supervises staff and assists with evaluation, curriculum improvement and staff development.
• Assists in supervising extracurricular programs and student welfare; ensures health and safety of students.
• Oversees student activities, orientation, scheduling, and organization of events.
• Assists with school facility operations and fiscal management as needed.
• Participates in disciplinary due process panels as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator.
