Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal to join the school leadership team. You will support the Principal in providing instructional and organizational leadership for K-12 schools, acting as an advocate for the school and its community while developing and executing improvement plans.

You will work with stakeholders to position the school for success, lead a talented instructional team, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Georgia Leadership Certification Tier I/II or out-of-state equivalent.
• Must enroll in a leadership program within 1 year of hire.
• Must complete a leadership program leading to Tier I within 3 years.
• Minimum of 3 years of certified school experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive instructional excellence.
• Participate in supervision and evaluation of staff.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Manage school resources to support instruction.
• Advocate for the school and communicate with stakeholders.
• Coordinate efforts to achieve school vision and objectives.
• Perform routine administrative duties as assigned by the Principal.
• Oversee summer school staff and student coordination.
• Manage time and other duties throughout the year.
