Qualifications

• Education certification: Bachelor’s degree required.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Enroll in an Alternative Certification Program/Alternative Educator Preparation Program
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
• Experience: at least one-year student teaching or approved internship

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Reflect accommodations for different learning styles in lessons.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, materials, and equipment suitable for diverse learners.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to guide instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Work with staff to determine instructional goals and methods.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Establish and maintain parent/teacher conferences and professional relationships.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings.
