Job summary

Lubbock Independent School District is seeking a qualified Teacher for PreK-12 to join our educational team. The position involves planning lessons, delivering instruction, assessing student progress, and collaborating with staff to meet district curriculum standards.

The teacher will maintain professional conduct, manage classrooms, communicate with parents, and participate in ongoing professional development to support student growth in alignment with state policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training for subject and level.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements.
• Adapt lessons for differences in student learning styles and needs.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials that reflect student needs.
• Assess student learning and plan instructional activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and supervise assignments of teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
