Job summary

LUBBOCK INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a qualified teacher to join our PreK-12 team. This Exempt, 10-month position reports to the principal and uses the district curriculum to foster student growth in the assigned core subject.

You will develop engaging lessons, assess learning, collaborate with staff on IEPs, manage classrooms, and communicate with families. A Bachelor's degree and a Texas teaching certificate are required, along with one year of student teaching or internship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training for subject and level.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Adapt lessons for diverse learning styles.
• Present content according to TEA policies and regulations.
• Use strategies and materials to meet learners' needs.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEP.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Incorporate technology to enhance teaching.
• Establish open communication with parents and staff.
• Participate in staff development and comply with district policies.
• Maintain records and attend faculty meetings.
