Job summary

LUBBOCK INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a Teacher to provide engaging instruction in the PreK-12 system. The role requires delivering standards-based lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

The candidate will plan, execute, and assess instructional strategies, manage behavior, and collaborate with staff. A Texas teaching certificate is required; experience with diverse learners is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for differing learning styles.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan instructional strategies and use appropriate materials and equipment.
• Assess student learning styles and tailor activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Work with staff to set instructional goals and methods.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
