Job summary

The High-Risk Obstetrical Registered Nurse with the AIRLIFE Team demonstrates advanced knowledge for care of obstetric patients during transport by air and ground. You will deliver care using the nursing process on fixed wing, rotor wing and ambulances.

Expect 16–24 weeks orientation, multiple certifications, and the ability to work in a dynamic, high-noise environment with flight gear, including NVGs. HCA HealthONE AirLife Denver offers comprehensive benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado.
• Must be certified in BLS, ACLS, NRP on hire and maintain throughout employment.
• STABLE and NCC certifications are highly desirable.
• RN-C Inpatient Obstetrical Nursing Certification within 1 year of hire.
• Five years acute care / specialty nursing minimum.
• Labor/Delivery tertiary care experience preferred.
• Ability to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of critical care transport.
• Orientation ranges between 16-24 weeks.
• Must work in a dynamic environment with exposure to noise, vibration and weather extremes.
• Must wear Night Vision Goggles (NVG) and helmets for extended periods in flight.
• Maintains current and unrestricted Driver's License.
• Maximum body weight 250# or less with all flight gear.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties consistent with scope of practice within AIRLIFE.
• Deliver nursing care to critically ill/injured patients aboard aircraft and ground units.
• Transport patients between facilities based on diagnosis.
• Assist with marketing activities for AirLife or HealthONE/HCA and participate in research when requested.
