Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Labor and Delivery to care for high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced, high acuity unit. You will manage labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, NRP, and experience with electronic fetal monitoring and the EPIC system.

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 1 year of high-risk labor and delivery experience.
BLS certification.
NRP certification.
Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC system.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to laboring and delivering patients, including high-risk cases.
Function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum.
Perform newborn assessments and administer Vitamin K injections.
Administer medications as required (Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate).
Float between postpartum, antepartum, and sister facilities providing mother/baby care as needed.
Use electronic fetal monitoring and adhere to EPIC hard stop protocols.
Collaborate with midwifery clients, private OBs, and community care clinics.
Maintain compliance with AWHONN guidelines for staffing and patient care.
Support adult recovery services related to substance recovery.
