Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to support patients and the care team in the High Risk Cardiology unit. This 36-hour-per-week role offers day or night shifts, with rotating holidays and every third weekend.

Under the supervision of licensed nurses, you will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, document patient information, and help ensure a safe, compassionate environment. CNA certification is required; benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Provides direct patient care to support licensed nurses and care team.
• Experience not required; CNA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under nurse supervision, assists with ADLs, takes vitals, and supports prevention measures.
• Collects clinical information and reports changes to the nurse.
• Assists with patient and family education, documents care with medical terminology.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available to meet patient needs.
• Contributes to patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance and participates in professional development.
