Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Missouri is seeking a patient care helper for the High Risk Cardiology unit. The position is 24 hours per week, scheduled 7a–7:30p with rotating holidays and every third weekend, with shift differentials included.

Preferred candidates have CNA, PCT, EMT, or Surgical Tech experience and are benefits eligible. You will support licensed nurses, perform ADLs, monitoring, and essential data collection in a demanding, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred CNA, PCT, EMT, or Surgical Tech experience.
• Experience in direct patient care on high-acuity units preferred.
• Ability to collect vitals and assist with ADLs.

Responsabilités

• Implements direct patient care under nurse supervision; assists with ADLs, performs vital signs, intake/output, and safety measures.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists with patient and family education; documents care activities accurately.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available to meet patient needs.
