Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support the High Risk Cardiology unit in caring for patients and assisting the care team. The role involves direct patient care, vital signs, ADLs, and ensuring patient safety under supervision of registered nurses.

Preferred candidates include CNAs, PCTs, EMTs, or Surgical Techs. This position is benefits eligible and requires adherence to unit-specific protocols and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Preferred CNA, PCT, EMT, or Surgical Tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under supervision of the nurse, assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and vital signs.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists with patient and family education and documents care activities.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available to meet patient needs.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety and regulatory compliance.
