Job summary

thyssenkrupp in Kyle, TX is seeking a warehouse associate to load, unload, stock, and pick orders on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

You will verify items, operate a forklift, perform cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory per plan while following safety and ISO 6S initiatives.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, basic math, and English literacy; forklift experience is preferred. Pre-employment drug testing is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Remove and stock product and supplies per inventory plan.
• Select product to fill customer orders and package properly.
• Load and unload trucks; verify correct items.
• Pick, process and pack orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Complete cycle counts and identify defective material.
• Perform general cleanup; report issues to supervisor.
• Support health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives.
• Operate forklift on the warehouse floor and assist as needed.

Key Accountabilities:Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.Completes cycle Counts.Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.Performs general clean up.Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/CompetenciesThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
