Job summary

thysenkrupp is seeking a Machine Operator helper for 1st shift in Wallingford, CT. The role trains on operating Kaltenbach saws and functions as a back-up plate saw operator, with focus on accurate picking, packing, and material handling on the warehouse floor.

You will be trained to operate saw machines and work on safety initiatives, with a potential monthly bonus. Pre-employment drug testing may be required per company policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write in English; bilingual in Quebec is French required (if applicable).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for 100 ft.
• Forklift experience is mandatory.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product and customer materials according to inventory plan.
• Selects products to fill orders and packages them correctly.
• Loads and unloads trucks; verifies correct items loaded/unloaded.
• Cuts orders on Kaltenbach saw when required.
• Completes cycle counts and documents as instructed.

We are hiring a Machine Operator helper on 1st shift. This is a great opportunity for an experienced material handler who wants to learn how to operate saw machines. You will be trained as a back up plate saw operator.Pay $19-$26 per hour plus monthly bonus opportunityKey Accountabilities:Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.Completes cycle Counts.Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.Performs general clean up.Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/CompetenciesThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
