Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a High Reach Forklift Operator for the night shift to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment in Kyle, TX. The role emphasizes proficient high-reach forklift operation and a 4-day workweek schedule (Mon-Thu, 6:00 PM–4:30 AM).

This position is safety sensitive with pre-employment drug testing requirements. Candidates must pass the test and have solid forklift experience to ensure safe, efficient operations on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unloads trucks and verifies correct items.
• Picks, processes and packs orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle counts and identifies defective material.
• Inspects forklift at shift start and reports issues to supervisor, participates in safety initiatives.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 PM–4:30 AM

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Previous forklift experience
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions

Preferred Requirements

• Use of handheld measuring tools
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
