Lerch Bates is seeking a Building Enclosure Designer to master how buildings go together, ensuring façades and exterior systems perform beautifully in the real world. You will work with leadership to develop high-quality enclosure solutions, technical details, 3D models, and design graphics, applying building science to modern and historic projects.

This role emphasizes collaboration with architects and engineers, and utilizes Revit, Rhino, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Cloud across multiple

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in architectural drafting or enclosure detailing.
• Strong understanding of building enclosure systems and construction documents.
• Ability to read and develop architectural drawings, wall sections, and details.
• Proficiency with Revit, Rhino, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed enclosure designs and assemblies across façades, glazing, roofing, waterproofing, and air/vapor barriers.
• Develop technical specifications and documentation for enclosure systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure constructable, code-compliant solutions.
• Support field visits, shop drawings, RFIs, and coordination meetings.
