Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead a high-volume store with a strong team culture. You’ll oversee daily operations, ensure great food and service, and guide a team of 50+ Family Members toward operational excellence.

You’ll develop your people, drive sales and profitability, and collaborate with the Operating Partner to execute strategies that strengthen the restaurant and advance your leadership career within Whataburger.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet business needs with open availability, including overnights, weekends, holidays.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 55 lbs.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain during training).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations to meet quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, develop, and support Family Members to reach their potential.
• Achieve restaurant goals across sales, labor, food cost, and profitability.
• Ensure food safety, workplace safety, and brand standards.
• Lead shift transitions and partner with leadership for talent development.
