Job summary

Diamond Truck & Trailer in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Service Advisor to coordinate communication between customers and the service department, prepare estimates, obtain approvals, track repair progress, and ensure repair orders are accurate. You will work with the Service Manager and contribute to process improvements and customer experience initiatives.

Key duties include handling incoming service requests, maintaining repair orders, and balancing shop capacity.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as a Service Advisor, Service Coordinator, or similar customer-facing service position.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain organization in a high-volume service environment.
• Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to quickly learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer service requests and serve as the primary contact throughout the repair process.
• Open and maintain repair orders and document customer details, VINs, unit numbers, and service requests.
• Assist in prioritizing repairs and managing shop capacity and scheduling priorities.
• Support service-related paperwork and process improvements within the department.
