Job summary

Planet Fitness is hiring a Fitness Instructor to lead the group fitness PE@PF program and design simple workouts. The hourly pay rate is $12-$14, and you’ll support members, drive class participation, and maintain a welcoming environment across Houston Fitness Partners locations.

Ideal candidates have 6–12 months of fitness instruction, high school diploma or GED, ability to pass a background check, and CPR/AED certification before employment.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills; 6–12 months fitness instruction preferred.
• Self-starter with initiative and minimal supervision.
• Punctual, dependable and strong work ethic.
• Basic computer proficiency; able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the Planet Fitness group fitness program PE@PF and design simple workouts.
• Gain new and current members to join fitness classes.
• Enforce a safe workout environment for members at all times.
• Evaluate individuals’ abilities and develop suitable training programs.
• Monitor participants’ progress and adapt programs as needed.
• Greet members and assist with check-in and inquiries.
• Answer phones promptly and in a friendly manner.
• Assist callers with knowledgeable information during inquiries.
• Perform member calls and tours; assess membership needs.
• Regular cleaning and sanitizing of the club and equipment.
