Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking Freight Handlers to keep freight flowing in a fast-paced dock environment at our Philadelphia, PA onsite location. You’ll perform high-accuracy loading, unloading, tagging, and movement of shipments, with pay at $18.50 per hour.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability in a busy network. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of related experience, and a forklift qualification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Forklift driver qualification required.
• Hazardous Materials Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-precision freight handling: load, unload, stack, and secure freight; follow work orders and priorities; apply tags and documentation; assemble and band freight bundles.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and other equipment safely and efficiently; install blocking, bracing, padding; maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Maintain dock flow and readiness: transport freight between dock areas and storage zones; keep areas clean and hazard-free; support cross-functional teams.
• Support cross-functional coordination: communicate with leadership and supervisors; surface issues and delays with clarity; collaborate for high performance.
• Uphold safety, accuracy, and performance standards: prioritize tasks; manage multiple assignments; ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
