Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 2 years of related experience.
• Experience handling various animal species in a veterinary, research or lab setting preferred.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily animal care and husbandry in ABSL-2/3 environments across species.
• Maintain logs: room, autoclave, cage washer, select agent tracking and other records.
• Assist with containment, PPE and safety procedures; participate in training.
• Support facility operations including cleaning, sanitation, and equipment maintenance.
• Occasionally assist with blood/tissue collection and injections as needed.
