Job summary

QuarterLine, a PSI company, is seeking experienced Registered Nurse (RN) candidates for the Special Care Unit at Madigan Army Medical Center, JBLM, Tacoma, WA. You will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical and surgical needs and support mission readiness.

Candidates should have a current RN license, strong clinical judgment, and recent primary care or occupational medicine experience.

Qualifications

U.S. citizen required.
Associate degree in nursing from ACEN/CCNE-accredited program required.
Active RN license in good standing.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Minimum 1 year RN experience in Special Care Unit within past 2 years.

Responsibilities

Provide critical and special-care nursing, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Obtain patient/family histories and document assessments, treatments, progress, admissions, and discharges.
Monitor patients and recognize changes in condition, including life-threatening situations.
Manage patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring and specialized equipment.
Administer medications and treatments within RN scope of practice.
Verify orders and communicate with physicians and charge nurses.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff; participate in reports and discharge planning.
Perform direct patient-care activities including mobility, hygiene, feeding, and ROM exercises.
Operate defibrillators, EKG machines, and cardiac monitors; respond to emergencies.
