Job summary

QuarterLine, a Planned Systems International company, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality care in the Behavioral Health Unit at Madigan Army Medical Center, JBLM, Tacoma, WA. The role requires caring for patients with complex medical and surgical needs across ages and providing psychotherapeutic services.

The RN will meet government qualification and onboarding requirements; prior BHU experience and a valid RN license are essential.

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Associate degree in nursing (ACEN/CCNE) or CGFNS for overseas degrees
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health Unit RN experience within past 2 years

Responsibilities

• Collect and assess comprehensive patient health and behavioral information.
• Develop mental health and nursing diagnoses, treatment plans, goals and outcomes.
• Provide psychotherapeutic sessions to individuals, families, and groups.
• Provide non-violent crisis intervention and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
• Monitor, document, and report patient behavior, ADLs, progress, and response to treatment.
• Apply and maintain precautions to prevent patient injury, suicide, and elopement.
• Coordinate patient care and participate in supportive group sessions.
• Provide patient education, including psychotherapeutic strategies and healthy-living education.
• Administer medications and manage medication therapy according to established procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.
