Job summary

Flanigan’s is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to keep our kitchens clean, sanitized, and well-organized throughout shifts. You will wash dishware, pots, pans, and utensils while adhering to safety and sanitation policies.

This role supports fellow staff, works in a fast-paced environment, and requires physical stamina. A 5-day work week with paid vacation and enriching benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in damp, hot environments.
• Follow food safety and sanitation policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of dishware, glassware, and utensils per policy.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen items and prep ware.
• Clean and sanitize throughout shift.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and prep tasks.
• Operate the dish machine during shifts and at closing.

Overview

You’re a key piece of the puzzle, taking great care to make sure every single thing is cleaned and sanitized to the highest of standards.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training


• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies


• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift


• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc


• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties


• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift


• Can reach, bend, stoop


• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions


• Ability to speak, read and write English


• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers


• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors


• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans


• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils


• Support fellow employees as needed


• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
