Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to keep dishware and kitchen spaces clean and sanitized throughout shifts in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and adherence to Florida food safety standards. You will support fellow staff and help maintain a safe, efficient workspace.

Qualifications

• Must stand/walk for the entire shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift.
• Must be able to read/write English.
• Must complete food safety certification per Florida statutes.
• Must work well with others in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
• Washes and sanitizes dishware, glassware, and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes workspace throughout shift.
• Maintains clean kitchen area, sweeps/mops/removes debris.
• Performs assigned prep work and opening/closing duties.
• Maintains dish machine at opening, during service, and closing.

You’re a key piece of the puzzle, taking great care to make sure every single thing is cleaned and sanitized to the highest of standards.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop
• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Support fellow employees as needed
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
