Job summary

Americare is seeking an experienced HHA Recruiter to join our Brooklyn Recruitment team. The Recruiter will manage the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding of Home Health Aides (HHAs), focusing on sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating pre-employment steps.

Travel to other offices and recruitment events is required. The role emphasizes high-volume hiring, compliance knowledge, and strong communication in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

Job description

Americare is seeking an experienced HHA Recruiter to join our Brooklyn Recruitment team. The Recruiter will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding of Home Health Aides (HHAs), with a focus on sourcing qualified candidates, conducting interviews, coordinating pre-employment requirements, and successfully moving candidates through the hiring process. Interviews and in-person training are primarily conducted at our Brooklyn office. This position also requires travel to other office locations, community recruitment events, job fairs, and other off-site recruiting initiatives as needed. Reliable transportation and/or the ability to travel independently are required.

Requirements

• 1+ years of Home Health Aide recruiting experience required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Reliable vehicle / willingness to travel to various office locations and recruitment events required.
• Experience sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding HHAs.
• Working knowledge of HHA employment and compliance documentation; I-9, W-4, CHRC, HCR, pre-employment medical requirements, and HHA hiring best practices.
• Ability to manage a high-volume recruitment pipeline supporting a minimum goal of 40 hires per month.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to independently prioritize competing deadlines.
• Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively toward individual and department recruitment goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with Workday or a similar Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as business needs require.
• Ability to travel between office locations and attend off-site recruitment events on time and as scheduled.
