Job summary

Right at Home is seeking a Home Aide to assist elderly clients with daily needs and provide companionship as per their care plans. The role involves personal care tasks, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and mobility support in clients' homes.

Candidates must communicate clearly in English, maintain punctual attendance, and provide a current medical physical with required titers and a negative PPD test. NYS Aide certification or two years of relevant experience are acceptable prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, write and communicate in English.
• NYS Aide certificate or 2 years experience for other positions.
• Medical physical within 12 months is required; titers (MMR & Chicken Pox) and PPD test.
• Prompt and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the elderly with daily needs, including personal care or companionship as per assigned care tasks and certification.
• Follow care/task plans in the home for each client, who is typically elderly or disabled.
• Perform home care tasks such as meals, showers, light housework, laundry, and assisting with mobility or daily activities.

• The job of the Home Aide is to assist the elderly with their daily needs, whether it's personal care or companion (depending on the assigned care tasks and certification).
• Each client has a care/task plan in the home that itemizes the needs and interventions for that particular client. The clients are mainly elderly or disabled adults.
• The Home Care interventions range from preparing meals, daily showers, taking walks outside, laundry, light Housework, and other personal care interventions.
• The candidate must have the Ability to speak, write & communicate in English.
• The Aide is required to be punctual and be on time as scheduled.
• A Medical Physical,(done within the last 12 months) is needed, and the titers,(MMR & Chicken Pox lab results).
• Also PPD test.
• A NYS Aide certificate or 2 years experience for other positions.
