Job summary

Active Day is seeking a Personal Care Aide to assist clients with daily living activities, health monitoring, and light home support in a home-care setting. You will help with bathing, grooming, meal preparation, mobility, and transportation as needed, while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and preferred Home Health Aide/CNA certification, with valid driver’s license if driving is required.

• For driving positions: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of registration/insurance.
• Minimum one-year health care experience preferred.
• Prior experience with seniors or adults with special needs preferred.
• Strong communication and engaging interpersonal skills.
• Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and assist with transfers.
• Background check clearance and state regulatory requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides support and assistance for activities of daily living and personal care as needed (e.g. arrival/departure, eating, ambulation, transferring, therapies, rest room assistance).
• Provide home support and assist in maintaining a healthy environment (light cleaning, laundry, shopping, home safety).
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks and assist with feeding as needed.
• Observe for changes in condition or unusual occurrences; escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Run errands for shopping for food and personal items or appointments.
• Ensure safety by monitoring activities and maintaining a sanitary environment.
• Communicate respectfully with members, families, co-workers, referral agencies, and the community.
• Comply with company policies, safety and regulatory laws and standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Personal Care Aides are responsible for providing, restoring, maintaining, and promoting the health status of the clients through home support, medical monitoring, client transportation services, and assistance with activities of daily living. Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age for positions not requiring any driving for clients
• At least 21 yrs of age for any positions requiring driving/running errands for clients

• For positions that involve driving for client (i.e. errands/Dr. appointments): Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation and proof of vehicle registration and insurance are required
• Minimum one-year full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Prior experience working seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred.
• Strong communication and engaging interpersonal skills.
• Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Able to bend, pull, push, squat, turn, transfer, and lift 50 pounds; able to stand for an extended period while providing physical assistance to members.
• Successful results of background check, and where applicable, additional state-specific regulatory requirements.
