Summary

We are hiring CNA's (certified nursing assistants) or HHA's (home health aide certificates) for home care visits, traveling to different homes in New Haven and the Shoreline north of New Haven to Clinton. There is potential to expand to New London County!

• 1:1 Patient Care

• Paid training includes a 4-hour self-defense class

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions to enable individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Reports observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notifies immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.
• Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt during business travel.
• Provides or assists with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, and transferring patients from bed to chair or wheelchair.
• Transfers patients on and off bedpan, commode, and toilet.
• Assists with household tasks essential to clients' personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months experience in personal care or home community-based services preferred.

License Requirements

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Active CT CNA or HHA Certification.
