Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is expanding in Scotch Plains, NJ, and is looking for a compassionate HHA to join their team. As part of a new community, you'll have the opportunity to shape a supportive culture while providing essential care to residents.

This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, documenting care, and engaging them in meaningful activities. You'll also benefit from various perks, including paid training and health programs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred.
• Experience working with people with dementia is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional care.

Benchmark at Scotch Plains is looking for a compassionate HHA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Schedules available 7a to 3p, 3p to 11p, and 11p to 7a

CNA Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Valid CNA/HHA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
