Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as we open a new community. You will deliver warm, home-like care to residents across daily activities and health support.

Schedules include 7a–3p, 3p–11p, and 11p–7a, with opportunities to contribute to shaping our culture from day one. Requirements include a valid CNA/HHA/LNA license; prior skilled nursing or dementia care experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient-focused caregiving essential.
• Experience in nursing/assisted living helpful but not required.
• Dementia care experience desired but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Document care and report health or behavior changes to staff.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support.
• Use customer service skills to ensure residents receive exceptional care.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Benchmark at Scotch Plains is looking for a compassionate CNA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Schedules available 7a to 3p, 3p to 11p, and 11p to 7a

CNA Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
