Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in East Meadow, NY is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide hands-on personal care and companionship to residents. You will follow individualized plans, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

This role emphasizes communication with families and care leaders, participation in dining services, and enriching activities for memory care residents when applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide hands-on personal care with empathy and patience.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families and care teams.
• Reliability, compassionate attitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and document changes
• Promote safety, dignity, and independence
• Engage residents through conversation and daily activities
• Support dining services and maintain a clean, welcoming environment
• Communicate effectively with families and care leaders
• In Memory Care, create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss

Pay Range:

17.20 - 21.55

In addition to base compensation, Sunrise may offer discretionary and/or non-discretionary bonuses. The eligibility to receive such a bonus will depend on the employee's position, plan/program offered by Sunrise at the time, and required performance pursuant to the plan/program.
