Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Smithtown, NY is seeking a caring Caregiver to provide hands-on support with daily living activities, engage residents, and promote safety and independence.

You will follow ISP, assist dining, and help memory care residents, with paid training, competitive benefits, and opportunities for career growth within a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) required.
• Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and document changes
• Promote safety, dignity, and independence
• Engage residents through conversation and daily activities
• Support dining services and maintain a clean, welcoming environment
• Communicate effectively with families and care leaders
• In Memory Care, create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss

In addition to base compensation, Sunrise may offer discretionary and/or non-discretionary bonuses. The eligibility to receive such a bonus will depend on the employee's position, plan/program offered by Sunrise at the time, and required performance pursuant to the plan/program.
