Job summary

Workforce Unlimited - Boston is seeking permanent Class 1 drivers for a full-time role, five days out of six, with potential night shifts starting at 10pm. You will drive safely, perform pre-trip checks, and maintain paperwork accurately while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires a valid HGV C+E licence, Driver CPC and a Digital Tachograph, with night-time workload and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Category C+E licence with relevant driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph C.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and professionally, complying with all road traffic laws and company procedures.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and loaded safely.
• Maintain compliance with Driver CPC, Digi Tacho, and Working Time Regulations.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Carry out vehicle shunting duties.
• Check fridge units and monitor temperatures.
• Process customer returns.
• Refuel, clean vehicles, and carry out basic maintenance.

Job description

We are looking for permanent Class 1 Drivers for our client - full time position working 5 days out of 6 between Sunday and Friday. This could be working up to 12 hours per day on occasion depending on traffic, and would be working through the night starting at 10pm until finish.

Driving

• Drive safely and professionally, complying with all road traffic laws and company procedures.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and loaded safely.
• Maintain compliance with Driver CPC, Digi Tacho, and Working Time Regulations.

Warehouse & Yard

• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Carry out vehicle shunting duties.
• Check fridge units and monitor temperatures.
• Process customer returns.
• Refuel, clean vehicles, and carry out basic maintenance (e.g. replacing bulbs or mirrors).

Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately.
• Handle customer payments (cash and cheques) in line with company procedures.

Key Skills & Experience

• Full HGV Category C+E licence with relevant driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph C
