Job summary

Pertemps Sheffield is recruiting HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for regular, ongoing work with a leading logistics company. Location: Tinsley. Night shifts start between 2:00pm and 6:00pm, with trunking, store deliveries and RDC-to-store runs.

You will complete vehicle checks and paperwork, ensuring high standards of service and compliance with regulations. Successful applicants must have a valid HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, and at least 6 months of Class 1 experience,

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD or DR convictions).
• Good knowledge of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.

Responsibilities

• Night shifts starting between 2:00pm and 6:00pm.
• Regular ongoing work.
• A mix of trunking between RDCs, store deliveries and RDC-to-store deliveries.
• Complete vehicle checks before each shift.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork and PODs are completed accurately.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
